Learn about the 3 ESA phases

There are three key phases to an environmental site assessment. These include:

  • Phase one: We’ll research the land's current historical use and identify any potential or existing contamination liabilities by sampling soil, air, groundwater and building materials.
  • Phase two: If we identify a possible contamination, we’ll go into phase two. This includes a laboratory analysis to confirm the presence of hazardous materials. Remedial actions may be required depending on the results.
  • Phase three: We’ll determine the extent of the contamination and make sure a remediation plan is in place that follows local, state and federal regulations
